ReplyDeletei'm now using that mighty wind picture above as my wallpaper when i turn on my ipod. you wanna know why.....because pocket god is the best app on my ipod touch! im very suprised at all the hate pocket god gets saying things like "it was only fun for 5 minutes." i don't know about u guys but i've played pocket god for hours. i think the love outnumbers the hate about 3 to 1. GO POCKETGOD!!!!! just wondering Bolt Creative will "something fishy" be you feeding them fish(lame) or them actually fishing(cool)? then after that what will they do with the fish?

ReplyDeleteFor a while and I think it's pretty cool,but I think I have a problem. I went to the appstore to check for the update. But I the iPod said all apps up to date, but I went to the top 25 and saw the new icon, so I deleted and rediwloaded, the problem persists where you spin the little dudes and when you strike them while spinning, nothing happens. But I know that something happens. What's going on?
I love it! This update is waaay to fun. :)

Pocket God is the greatest game ever on the iPod Touch/iPhone, not only because the great gameplay.. but also because it's updating every week!

ReplyDeleteI tried to download it through itunes & for some reason it says "This app is being updated now" and about 30 mins l8r, then it still is..!!!
How come i dont have the update do i have to re-download it or is it in the updates section of the app store cause i dont want to pay another dollar

the second idea is the following one:
If you take an islander and drag him into the sky there are eagles or vultures which bite him

ReplyDeletespiveysnorth......thanks for telling Bolt about our suggestions, I was about to.......and instead of going back, to the other thread.....ill just restate my idea......If you could be able to put an islander onto the tree, then they would freak out, but then you could ben the tree down to either let the islander get off or, before they get off, let go and the tree will slingshot the islander far into the distance....and I just thought of a new feature to it, that would include the hurricane....if you put an islander onto the tree, then make the hurricane, they could hang on the tree so they don't get swept up in the hurricane......and I should also point out Spiveysnorth's ideas, although, I forgot what they are, so he can restate them again

i really think you should start having hidden things in the updates that you wont tell us...like Easter eggs (not literally).
ReplyDeleteI love this update and cant wait for the next. I like the idea of an Islander Cheif as well as the idea of having birds or stuff in the sky to attack them. I also agree with zach about the hidden "Easter Eggs" like surprises that you didnt know would be coming with the update.
ReplyDeleteI also feel that you should add multiple islands with different looking pigmys and they build boats that they can use to invade the other island. And you as their god can decide to help your islanders defeat the invasion with lightning or fire or whatnot, or let them get slaughtered. Would be kinda fun.
ReplyDeletenick barry, YOURE IDEA IS GOLDEN! My idea will probably sound like crude to his but, the island defiantly needs more interaction. Every time I show a friend this app they ask, "Why aren't the Tiki or the tree interactive?", and I respond, "The developers update it every week with a new feature, It won't be long. So I've been thinking, after the AMAZING suggestion by nick barry, maybe I'll give it a go, BOLT, THE TIKI NEEDS TO BE SOMETHING THE PYGMIES WORSHIP AND ARE AFRIAD OF. If I was stuck on an Island and there was nothing there but a tree and a giant Tiki, I'd probably thing that the Tiki was pretty great. You know what I mean, tap the Tiki and his eyes glow, he says something in a big deep voice, and then they do what he says like: kneel down before him, give him a coconut, suicide throw one in the water. Stuff like that.

Once they have the ability to make fire, you cook the shark, shock the Easter Island Head so it opens its mouth, put the cooked bat in, then shock it again to close the mouth, and then it does something like dance, walk around, or even better, show you the way to another island.
I know, ridiculous, but how cool would that be to just randomly figure out on your own?
I agree: Easter Eggs would be the coolest part about this app ever, except for perhaps unlockable items and stats. Hidden things are the best, especially if they're random. If anyone has ever played the achievement game, that is the kind of thing I am talking about.
ReplyDeleteOne really random idea I had, and it is pretty ridiculous, is:
You shock the Easter Island head and it opens its mouth, and then you make the volcano erupt and pull the shark out of the water so it gets cooked by the lava. Then you put it in the Easter Island head's mouth, then shock it again to make it close. Then it does something awesome like walk around, dance around, glow and attract aliens, or even lead the way to another island or secret tool (once items are available)
Figuring something like that out and having that secret item would be such an amazing accomplishment, especially if it wasn't known to anyone

ReplyDeleteyou break the coconut, and if you hold it over their heads they jump up and try to take it from you, and if you lower it they jump up and grab it and eat it, then if you make a storm you can strike the tree with the lightning and it burns leaving the stump, then if you touch the stump and bring your finger up the screen the tree grows and the leaves sprowt out again.
i would like to make it rain constantly that would be cool, mabee put 2 fingers on the storm cloud and swipe down on the screen it could keep raining.
and i found a glitch, when you have a storm going, if you select the menu and get rid of the storm clouds then keep spining the hurricane, you can have the wind and rain on the blue sunny sky.
keep up the good work, pocket god rules :)

ReplyDeleteOk, just been playing pocket god, as usual, and thought of another cool idea....If you tap on the statue (at the right of the island) then its eyes will light up green, and the nearest islander's eyes get all green and hypnotize like, and with their eyes still green they start to do weird animations, like that of in idle hands episode, but a lot weirder, like, poking the other isladers, or kicking then, and mybe even shoving/pushing other islanders off into the water

ReplyDeleteI think that Nick Barry’s idea of putting an islander in the tree would be AWESOME. I also think that Spivey’s idea of the tree breaking and then being able to build a fire out of the branches would be amazing too! You could do so much stuff with this like roasting the cocoanuts or using the stick to catch fish and then cook those too. I have an idea that you could add to those. You should be able to use the sticks from the tree to also build a boat for the islanders! You could then put the boat in the water and drop the islanders on it. You could swipe your finger across the screen to make wind that will push the boat. The boat could sail to another island where the islanders could then meet other islanders and then attack them or be friends with them. I think that this would be really cool, but if you don’t want to do this idea make sure that you at least do Nick Barry’s idea. His idea is THE BEST, and it gave me my idea so thanks!
ReplyDeleteSince downloading "a mighty wind" I am having a lot more trouble tossing them into the volcano. In addition I thought it would be fun if we could toss the shark into the volcano or have it in the tornado.

ReplyDeleteyo sean31 i said the exact same thing in a different post. check it out.....just another add-on to nicks idea. what if after the tree broke on my add-on the pygmies started taking pieces of wood and building something by hammering it with the coaconut, and the next time you opened up the app there was a boat just sitting there. then in the next week's update you could put the pygmies in the boat and that's how you would get to other islands. Just another idea. by the way i don't hate the new update, but i don't love it. pocket god = awesome. that what i had said previously. anyways this is getting hard to keep track of so here's nick's and my ideas. nick- Ok, I have an excellent idea: if you could be able to put a islander on the tree, and then they will start freaking out becuase they're stuck up there, but then u can bend the tree down to the ground to let them get down, or, if u want to be evil, u could let go of it, and they will be flung into the distance

me- like nick barry said: if you could be able to put a islander on the tree, and then they will start freaking out becuase they're stuck up there, but then u can bend the tree down to the ground to let them get down, or, if u want to be evil, u could let go of it, and they will be flung into the distance..... me- its officially not a weekly update any more guys!*sad*cry*. anyways i was thinking i could add something to nick barry's idea. part 1- maybe if you left the pygmies up there long enough the tree would snap into a bunch of pieces. then if you struck the pieces with lightning it would turn into a roaring fire. maybe you could roast some coacanuts for them or the shark. part 2- after the tree has broken maybe you could give one of the pygmies a branch and they could fish. this could lead to all sorts of things like maybe you give them a stick to fish with first; then you strike the pile of branches with lightning and the pygmie roasts the fish he catches. personally this is my favorite app, and i would really apprieciate it if you took this suggestion with maybe a couple of my add-ons and put it as an update. LOVE THE APP THANKS!!!
o crap, i forgot i have another add-on to nick's idea above. so after you put a pygmie in the tree and you start a hurricane and you keep spinning your finger around for 30 seconds. the tree, pygmie and the tiki guy all get sucked into the hurricane. then, if you strike the tree with lightning in mid-air; it raind fire! or, if you strike the tiki guy in mid-air he explodes and all the pygmies disinigrate. Hey! bolt come check this out. #1 app!

There areso many good ideas out there. Bolt u should seriously check them out. I like spiveysnorth and nicks ideas. Go flame- broiled fish!
ReplyDeleteThis is really wierd and disgusting but you could have them be canibals and throw a pigmy in the fire. the boat idea is 1 of my faves but would be a huge or multiple updates. Maybe they could boat to the volcano for starters then go to other islands and meet them. I think the Easter eggs would be the best because the name would say one thing like say 'something fishy' and then out of nowhere you suddenly have a little fire going after clicking something your choice I won't ruin the surprise. Think about it and pay attention to spiveysnorth and nick barrys posts they have big ideas and would seriously improve the pocket god world!

i got an idea for when the tsunami update comes out. how about after you cause the tsunami and all the pygmies fall off. there are a bunch of sea creatures just laying on the island (crabs, big fish, little fish, ect....) then when you bring back some pygmies they see the fish and go throw up over the side of the island. but if you have a vampire he eats the sea animals. and once the more islands update comes out(can't wait!) differen't stuff comes up on the island after a tsunami. like one island has an octopus come up, and the biggest island has a whale come up. when the islanders see the whale they just stare at it. you could hit them with the whale if you want. but if you leave it for long, it starts to stink; then the pygmies push the whale off in disgust. i also have another idea, when the pygmie customization update comes out, you get to pick between 3-5 tribes. which are like pygmie gangs. then you could supply them with sticks and stuff so they could fight, just think about it..... POCKET GOD 4 LIFE!

ReplyDeleteAnd the new update looks like it could be great! I have no idea if you will be able to cook the fish, but if you can that would be awesome! You should really put some thought into using Nick Barry's idea of the tree breaking and Spivey's add-on of making a fire from the sticks. This would be the best way to cook the fish for the islanders.
Finally I think that you should also make easter eggs that people have to find out on their own. I know many people have posted this idea, but I think it would greatly improve the game.
yeah we will have to keep posting the easter egg idea for bolt to notice it, so keep it up, anyone who sees this message, make a comment that says "easter egg" or anywhere in it...and in other posts...EASTER EGGS!!!
