Q: How can I get all of the episodes?
A: An episode is actually an update to the previous game. For example, if you have episode 8, you will get everything from episode 7 and below. The episode title displayed at the start up is the name of the newly added feature.
Q: Do I need to buy new updates/episodes?
A: No, you do not. Once you purchase the game, all updates come free of charge.
Q: Where can I find a review for Pocket God?
A: When you click on the logo in iTunes, a customer rating will appear. Also, pocktgod.blogspot.com and twitter.com/pocketgod mentions each review that is known to us.
Q: Why doesn’t my icon in iTunes match the one on my iPod/iPhone?
A: The icon in iTunes is updated every week, with the one that was used in iTunes the prior week being shifted to the iPod. Theoretically, the iPod icon will be one behind the updates. We want to do a stellar job on the icon and don't want to rush in the process, or end up delaying the updates.
Q: Can I make a review for Pocket God?
A: Why, yes you can! When you do, send us a link and we will put it on the blog, along with the Twitter account.
Q: Pocket God slows down/crashes on my iPod, is there a problem?
A: Don’t panic! Pocket God uses a lot of animation, using a lot of memory in the process. Homebrews, like clippy, backgrounder, and springboard customization apps will cause the app to run out of memory. This also occurs for jailbroken phones as well. Some have reported success in safe mode, but people should stop these app from startup.

ReplyDeletewanted to report what appears to be a bug - If you drag an islander to the top of the screen and you press somewhere right above where the meteor usually drops, the setting remains off, but the meteor falls down and is usable. If this was intended, cool, if not, then oh well. Personally I would leave it, it's kind-of funny.

ReplyDeleteTry turning you iPod off then restart it. Try downloading again.
If it still doesn't work, connect your iPod to iTunes and check for an update. I believe 2.2 is out.
2.2 is indeed out. Probably 99% of the time that it does that, it means thatyour iPod is out of date with the game. Just hook it up to iTunes on your computer and then update your iPod and that should fix your probablem

ReplyDeleteI thought the islander icon was to drop a girl islander into their midst...I think that would be pretty funny to add in. Just one girl, to have a reaction similar to Tex Avery's Wolf to Red Riding Hood, and cause chaos, not to have girl islanders all the time.
ReplyDeleteHere's an idea: Use the lightning to start a small temporary fire over by the Easter Island statue and then you can drop an islander into the fire to fry. (Especially exciting when tilting the phone and having them all slide into it. :)

ReplyDeleteim in brissi and all my friends now have Pocket God :-). i have som ideas for new updates if u want to hear them? stuff like islander customisation like hair and clothes etc. also houses and buildings that are built by the islanders and can be destroyed/damaged by storms would be awesome as well. a mad scientist that experiments on the islanders(i.e. mutation) would also be cool. this game is epic so keep up the great work guys!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI wanted to suggest that you create a "god meter" that shows your "Benevolent/Vengeful God" status. Would be affected by how often you feed them, give them fish, knock them into the volcano, cause a hurricane, etc. Just a thought.

The gravity and earthquake are both controlled by the tilt option. So what does that wavy line icon do?
ReplyDeleteNo, the icon with crossed out waves makes it vibrate or not (when there's a volcano or earthquake). But the vibration only works on the iPhone, not the iTouch.

I'd like to see a Tsunami, where when the water pulls away...you can see the bottom of the sea with the fish and the shark flapping on the floor where the islanders can jump to and collect and eat fish before they get washed out by the Tsunami, which could also wipe out all of the islanders on the island as well. There is a problem where two people enter the outhouse at once, and when they come out, only one is there, but the other ones name is still there at the bottom and it just stays there. also, when people are fishing they frequently drop into the water randomly (not shark grab)over minor things. other than that I love the series and keep up the good work!

I was thinking, (either for this island, or for future ones) the danger could be a tsunami, and it could be triggered by throwing pgymies, like the volcano.
And I know that a tsunami is gonna be pretty hard to do, because of all the textures and the animation etc. but it would be pretty cool.

So a Huge Suggestion because i know there is a lot of people who are REALLY into music, that'd be a good update and i'm sure it get a lot of sales i know the one thing i do is buy my apps out of my friends opinions and their usually good, and they'll tell if i can or can't listen to music while i'm playing this but pocket god was one of my friends favorites so it was the first one i picked up. So if you could play music and pocket god at the same time that'd get you some more buzz

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that the second to last update "a new home" or something caused problems on my iphone. It crashed several times and then ran in the background, draining my battery. I thought my battery was broken and took it to the iphone store where they had told me it was running in the background... So now I've been too afraid to run it.

I loved the premise of the game, I bought it, but discovered that although I can hear the sound effects when I run my finger over the game, I can't tell where I am or what is going on on the screen. It would be helpful if your game could comply with VoiceOver to the point that I could run my finger over the game, have it speak back to me a description of what's under my finger before I double click on it to interact with the game. Sounds like a great game, hope I can use it in the future.

It would be great update to new features (fire, bird) if:

hi i can not get my idea posted so im tiping it here why don't you in the settings put on hero mode so if one of you'r people is going to eat a bad fish they save them then that person will glow if you tap them three times thay become a monster and zap all the people???

ReplyDeleteI've got a great idea! A monkey could come out of that tree on the island w/ the porta-potty and attack the islanders or throw poop maybe.
ReplyDeletePG creaters i have a glitch to report. when you have a pygmy fish then move the lure around and click the statue the pygmy does not disintegrate but it becomes invincible nothing can kill it and you cant pick up and gravity does not affect them and they wont go underwater when you release a tidal wave these are the ways to kill them.
ReplyDelete1.) have it fish and release a shark so it swims away with the pygmy
2.) Turn the invincible pygmy into a vampire and desroy it with sun.

Hey pocket god guys i found another glitch if you have a pygmy use the fishing pole and you move the lure around really fast the pygmy will face one way but the lure will be facing the other

mike what you have to do is delete the app of what ever you have Ipod or Iphone the just redownload and everything will be wiped out and when you redownload it will say you had a previous version of it and that the redownload will be FREE

ReplyDelete1.) You could click the little blue thing on the statue under water and a Kraken (like from pirates of the Caribbean) could come out and eat the pygmy's
2.) This one i am agreeing with someone The dawn of a hero episode sounds pretty good.
3.) Again i am agreeing with someone have a pygmy customiser.
4.) Lastly there could be a flag hung on the second island on the left hand side of the tree which would have a customizable background but would have the god name and type (the little icon like the tidal wave) that you chose on it from the god menu and you could toggle it on/off on the island menu where you would toggle the meteor or anthill and all that stuff i will email you a basic idea of what it could look like

Hey, PG. You guys should make a dog or a cat. The dog could poop and wizz on a tree an the cat could scratch a Pygmie and the Pygmie would look like it got sliced & diced.

I know I'm usually the one spitting out ideas, but I've noticed it since the update with the new idol. When you drop the astroid on a Pygmie and touch the idol 3 times, the Pygmie doesn't disinegrate.

Can you make a episode were you you grow a plant that eats the pygmies. You just drop the seed three times and it cracks open and the plant grows. You use the spear to make it go away into the ground. It dosen't need to be just like this but can there please be a man eating plant! :)

ReplyDeleteI have a couple of update ideas, let's start with a little minigame idea for the new island, it will be triggered by knocking over a tombstone ( or something ) and a bunch of zombies come out towards your pygmy and to get rid of them you have to flick them away, but if they get to your Pygmy bye, bye, he joins them in their taste for Pygmy flesh, also there can be an update where if you bring the meteor really high ( where you drop the pygmy for ooga jump ) and drop it, it will impact hard with the ground and make an ice age, with a bunch of ice age animals ( mammoths, sabre tooth tigers etc) that u kill with the spear and cook or leave them there to rot and the smell kills pygmy or they kill you, plus if there's no fire the pygmys will freeze and die, plus they van play in the snow, make snow angels and snowmen, snowball fights etc, to get rid of the ice age put the magnifying glass right in front of the sun and presto, no more snow, last thing I have off the top of my head is controlling the vampire Pygmy, have him turn the others into vampires and turn into a bat and fly around, I hope you consider some of these, thanks

ReplyDeleteI've got another good idea! You know that rock by the palm tree on the volcano island? It looks like a mini cave (to me). You know how Allan said they were going to have people come to their islands who made the relics (ex: octopus statue(s), freakin' laser beams on sharks head, tombstone, ect.). So maybe those "people" could shrink the Pygmies and they could explore the "mini cave."

ReplyDelete1. I think that the pygmy's should all have there own WMD (bow and arrows, knife or spear)
2.The pygmy's should be able to travel to other islands with little boats they make. They could become allies with other pygmy's or they could become enemy's with other islands and try to conquer other islands that will be an achievement.
3.They should all have there own hut a little one where you can enter the pygmy's hut to see what they have been doing.
4.The Pygmy's should be able to breed for more baby pygmy's.
5.The pygmy's should be able to celebrate birthdays for each pygmy they have a birthday and they celebrate it.

ReplyDeletePocket god is great and my family is crazy over it. Its one of the best, if not the best app i've ever seen!
Just wanted to give some ideas. Maybe you guys could expand the underwater section Like maybe when a whirlpool is created the pygmies would be sucked into it and lead them to some ancient ruins, filled with treasure. but it is guarded by a sea monster and will eat any pygmy who tries to get it. Then it could be a challenge and minigame to get as many treasure as possible! That would be cool.

ReplyDeletemake a ghost start moving and then tap it b4 it stops. Its hard, but funny.
Also, when a pygmy is fishing, make a ghost scream. The rod will stay up for a second and if a fish runs into it, then the pygmy will start fishing sitting on the sea.

ReplyDeleteMy game isn't registering my achievements. When I beat the T-rex or spider nothing happens. Even when I beat them with less than 12 spears. It still tells me when I beat other scores though.

Hello again! I've discovered how to use the dance pack: 1.You go to the sixth icon in the upside bar

3. You choose the dance pack
4.Choose the dance you want for the Pygmies
5. Close the window
6.Mark the fifht icon
7.Touch the screen without stoping, then you'll see fireworks in the sky
8. Pygmies will dance after this and they'll stop when you stop touching screen
