Pocket God Episode 40 Sneak Peek
So I wanted to take care of the comic bug controversy this morning and held off on the Sneak Peek at episode 40 that I promised if Uranus went top 3 (and btw, it's now in top ten grossing). Then Dave sent me an angry touch arcade post form Jakerocksalot16 calling us on it, so whoops! Better get on it! At the moment, the art section is still being produced independently of the game engine, but here is some art for ya!

ReplyDeleteTo do this the creators must add all the powers from the original Pocket God + content = islands, dodo bird.... (Why not merge both?). They must also fix the slight lag (playing on 3GS) and the few graphical issues on Hover Jump (the K from Kill-a-oogles missing some green pixels, the "highscore" field not clear enough). What's more is that when playing Quantum Entanglement and loosing, there is no option for playing again like the other games. Finally when you drag a Pygmy from a side of a planet, you continue on going on without end. Why not make the planets round and you find yourself where you started? (And that could be where you could go to the other islands :) )
If the developers (and Allan Dye) respect these critiques I am sure this game will beat Angry Birds:) Good luck (for some reason this comment not appearing on iTunes so could you please confirm that you read in a comment?)

ReplyDeleteDude, the devs have lives too. They can't spend every day of their life making updates. There is only 2 people making this game, not 100.

Awesome! It looks to me like the pygmys will get god powers and battle. Was hoping that the gods would fight eachother, but it's still cool. Well, that's if I'm right anyway.
ReplyDeleteAlso, PG needs a shooting/action mini game. Like journey to Uranus. The mini games there are much more addicting then original PG. Maybe another tribe of war making people settle on a new island the pygmies inhabit, and try to take it over. and you can choose a pygmie to go defend the island. It would be like a side scrolling game where you continue forward indefinitely, fighting stronger enemies as you go on, and picking up better weapons. Just a thought.
Looks great but when will it come out? Mabey at the end of the month?????? That would be great! Also How long do the Uranus updates take I am guessing that will be out in the middle of next month??? Please write back and tell me! I am a great fan of this game! I also agree with Anonymous (the post before)! I don't need exacet date but would love a date around when they will come out!

Hey guys..to answer the question when ep 40 is coming out. We are shooting to have both next Uranus update (ep 5) and the PG update (ep 40) out ASAP to take advantage of the momentum on the charts. I've just created a huge amount of animations...which I'm pretty proud of.... for ep 40 and handed it off to Dave... and the remainder of this weekend it will all about Uranus artwork. which we're still keeping the subject a surprise. But it's going pretty smoothly so far.
ReplyDeleteoh, and by ASAP I mean end of this month, or beginning of July the latest. I go on vacation on the 9th, so we want everything at least submitted before I go. But we're shooting for earlier...the sooner the better.

ReplyDeleteHey Allan! PG needs to have the option to customize. Pigmies and islands. I thoght the idols were interesting, but what if you recieved a victory prop for every time you win a battle of the gods game? ehh? Also, a first person shooter game would be cool, but you would need to use either arrows or spears. Maybee you could have them fighting gorrilas? Or even in another episode, turn them into gorrilas. I can imagen the title... Backwards Evolution! or something.

The game its self is amazing but one thought that i would want included in the game is a costume for the island dudes. you know like for Halloween, but just every dude gets there own individual one?? And if you ever do that could you please make a clone trooper one?? sorry I'm just a star wars geek...... Oh and i just think you should have an option where the island dudes should fight each other, but its like they control their own fights, how they fight and who wins, ya know????? i know you cant really respond to this, but please tell what you think about my ideas, otay??

ReplyDeleteYes um... It's been past June 30th already and Allan Dye said it would be ASAP at the end of June. And guess what? It's already July the 2nd! I hope they'll finish the update around tomorrow, July 4th, Or something in between July 4th and July 12th. So they better get working on it!

We already beat all 39 episodes so we leveled them up and we are ready! PS we are HUGE fans it's our favorite game

-girl pygmies (like a dating island)
-a god power to make: shooting stars,astroids land on pygmies,the ability to make them blow up like a balloon,make them split into two different people and they mirror there partners movements
-having the bird cary the pygmy to a different island with babie birds about to hatch and eat the pygmies
-talk 2 the pygmies using fire
-having some pygmy sports (like harry potter has quittich)
- have an under water octopus that has a mini game
-have them tell cheesie jokes to each other
-let them get sick and the only way to make them better is to complete a series of tasks
-have an island where all of the real gods live
-have there mothers come and chew them out for...
-be able to turn them inside out
-have a camping island
-see the island from a pygmies point of view
-stampedes
-tiki ppl/ sprits
-have them invent the wheel
-have weird aliens come and abduct them
-design and order your own pygmy for ur app (im thinking 50-$1.50ea)
-have secrets hidden throughout the game(powers,actions,customization packs,items)

ReplyDeleteI know the Pocket God updates are coming soon. If you go to GameCenter and look at the picture for Pocket God: Journey to Uranus, you will see a zombie pygmie. We all know that is not the picture for it, so it leads me to believe that they change the GameCenter picture before they update it. This has happened before with normal PG. When it was still e.38 it showed a the

ReplyDeleteI love pocket god i have all the idols and I think you should give the pigmys personalitys like in the comics. Why not have squid ball? And In the comics when Ooga went into the temple he saw the gods you should make that the end of the 40th episode after fighting. Also add female pigmys or I will die and give them godly powers, like being able to disapear in a cloud of smoke!!!!!!!!
