Journey To Uranus Now Universal!

You heard me right! We heard the request for Uranus to play on iPod Touch and iPhone...so rather than create a separate version, we decided just to take the original and make it work on both. It wasn't easy because we designed it to take advantage of the iPad screen and processing power. But Dave, along with Robin and Sam, spent a bunch of time optimizing and altering the programming so the scenes would look great on all sizes. So if you bought it for iPad, it should still look and run the same (maybe even better) but you'll also be able to play the same app on smaller devices without buying it again. And yes, once again, we marked it down to 99¢, and if it goes back up, will only go to $1.99.

Since this took the majority of our time, we decided to create a simpler mini-game that takes advantage of the existing space location, Quantum Entanglement. It was partly inspired by my nephews who requested a scavenger hunt in space and their love for memorization games...so thanks, Brad and Wes! Basically you drag a pygmy to the atom floating in space, and then you have to hunt down a trail of other entangled atoms. You touch one, and another one appears. The trail is always the same, so the more you play it and remember the trail, the further you'll get! You can watch particles to get a hint of the direction of the next atom as well. You also have limited time between atoms (and get extra points for saving time), so go as quickly as you can. But don't accidentally drag a Pygmy over a black hole or the game ends!

>> or better yet just go get it! <<<

And I want to point out that we were really happy that Challenge of the Gods was received so well! We are now in full production of the Battle of the Gods, where you will be able to use the idols you've collected....plus there will be the opportunity to add a few more to the arsenal, but more on that later.

For fans of the comic, we have had one issue ready for a couple weeks now and the one after that is almost finished, but for some reason there have been major technical problems delaying the release. It's killing me because the first issue of the arc barely hints at the crazy things that go down in the next two issues...so thank you for your patience! The comic has been such a success that Ape put a bunch more resources to produce the comics faster (and we've worked out a huge ongoing story)...but the original app was only built for a short run, so it's taking time to build in the structure for lots more issues.

And as for the next Uranus update, let's just say we heard the request for more classic Pocket God powers!

  5. Great update, love it on the go! a few minor suggestions though....

1- please add an exit option for all minigame menus, for it's quite annoying to have to actually start the game and then select exit, whereas having one on the start menu would help for those split-second decision makers

2-please add an optionaly functionality to remove pygmies and the alien dude in the new scavenger minigame. on my ipod touch it adds an unnessecary difficulty from all the clutter.

anyway this is just minor, I love pocket god to the core! :)

  6. POCKET GOD: And idea for you guys is... a huge island that you can rotate. It also has underground caves & able to go into the forest. A mini-game is a vine swinging game. THAT WOULD BE SOO AWESOME! I'D PAY $5 FOR THAT!

POCKET GOD URANUS: How about adding more islands that you can swing your pigmys to. Also... MORE ISLAND!!!

  8. On Journey To Uranus, Can You Put The Story Maker On It? That's My Favorite Thing About Pocket God. Also, Can You Finish Sand Island? Please Put In Fishing, Ant Hill And Metior. That Would Be Cool. Another Thing Is A Option Yo Shut The Volcano Mini-Game Off. I Like To Just Randomly Flick Them Sometimes. Please Respond With Your Opinions, And Comments

  15. Why did you make it Universal? This was supposed to be an IPAD ONLY APP!!!!! Now I'm just sad, because my brother has an iPod Touch (4th Gen) and bought JTU for me, then I created my own Apple Account, he downloaded the app, and he just got it off me for buying it!!! I was looking forward to JTU on my iPad, now my brother has it, and he already has like 500 achievements on Game Center. Isn't that enough???

Please respond to this, I am just a little mad. I was excited to finally have a game he would never have. Well now that's ruined.

  16. Hi Michael! I'm really sorry you're mad at us. Funny that you're mad because the now the game works for BOTH you and your brother...most people are glad that they can play with it on both.

Here's the thing...now that people can play it on both, we're selling much more...which means we'll be able to update it much more! The way things were going, the iPad only approach wasn't financially beneficial, so we were going to have to make a new iPhone game to start bringing in more revenue.

And so many people were asking for JTU on the iPhone, we thought it would be the best solution all round!

But thank you so much for buying it anyway. We hope you'll forgive us when the updates keep coming!

  17. Look, I know you probably get a million comments on this but I want you to listen. Im a long time PG fan and love the ideas for both the original and Journey to Uranus. But you need to get owners of the original interested in your new app. Add a moon to PG. Only a moon where you can drag the little guys up into space and put them on the moon. Have an alien or two maybe a mini game. Tell them it is just a taste of your new version, Journey to Uranus. You do it the from the new one to the original with the island, so why not the other way around. I think that you guys are doing an amazing job with having to keep up with updates and the comic, so keep going. Just another hint to make it to the top 10, add the basics as well like fishing on each planet giving them something robotic, a fish or some alien mutant thing! I know you have your hands full already but please add a moon to PG and fishing to Uranus. It will help your rating alot. Good Luck guy, (even though you don't need it)
