" At this point our biggest challenge is trying to come up with fresh ideas that are just as impactful as our first 10. When you first pick up the game, sacrificing a Pygmy feels awesome, but once you become desensitized to Pygmy death, new sacrifice types don't feel as surprising as before. The way we have been dealing with this, has been to focus on things like mini games, cross-overs, random humor and so that when we come back to old fashioned sacrifices, it feels more impactful. This update feels a little more like our old fashioned sacrifices (although not a god power) and there is definitely a laugh out loud moment in the update."
He also discusses our latest thoughts about the future of the current version of Pocket God and how we're going to transition to future projects and expand and grow the brand that we've managed to build. Is it Pocket God 2...or is there something else unexpected in the works? hmmmmmmm. There hasn't been any hasty decisions, but one thing is certain..we are going to continue supporting and updating PG! We're just not how sure of how often. For now, we're still daisy-chaining the updates. Dave goes into more detail.

I bet the spooky part is gonna have a "The Creeps!" app cross-over... I hope so anyways
ReplyDeletehey guys just a quick question dont wanna be rude or anything but when dave said you didnt have enuff money to do more stuff i kinda thought that is impossible since you have had 1.2 million sales 1.2mil time 70% is around 700,000$$ so really how much does it take to make updates for an app
ReplyDeleteHey Sunny. We didn't say we were going to stop but we have to strategize best use of our time in order to maximize our App store opportunity! Do we keep updating Pocket God every two weeks for the next two years even though the sales have diminished to a trickle, while other companies build newer and cooler apps? We are still figuring it out.
ReplyDeleteHey Bolt Creative. I have a quick question. What will happen with the picture? I don't want to end up on TV or something.
ReplyDeleteI read Dave's post, and one thing you could do, is have in-app downloadable cloths and costumes, and pets and hair styles which can be bought with something in orientation with the feint pts and achievments. And the points could also be bought for like 50-100 for $0.99 or something. I don't know what u want to to do, but I love the app and the new update looks cool!! :)
ReplyDeleteWill you guys be fixing the openfeint loading loop on the next update?
ReplyDeletei think that its time for a new island
